CBRIN partnered with Hands Across Canberra, the University of Canberra and a coalition of sector, research and government partners to deliver the inaugural Not-for-Profit Collaborative Innovation Forum. The forum brought together community organisations, funders, researchers and innovators to build innovation capability in the NFP sector, with loneliness selected as the first annual challenge theme.
The program combined expert presentations, experiential demonstrations and facilitated workshops grounded in local evidence and lived experience. Participants worked across diverse disciplines, unpacking key challenges around collaboration and coordination in the sector. They developed practical solutions, new partnerships, and innovative delivery pathways. The forum demonstrated how structured cross-sector collaboration can address systemic social challenges while strengthening community wellbeing and sector capability across the ACT.
