Digital Solutions Expert Network

Join a small panel of experienced digital experts to work with ACT small businesses, startups and sole traders through our Digital Solitutions Program, delivered under the Australian Government’s Digital Solutions initiative.

This is a paid, professional oppurtunity at approximately $85 per hour on a contractor basis. You do not need to cover all five areas – we are seeking individuals with depth in one or more of the below domains:

Digitising small business operations

Help small businesses move everyday tasks online so their operations run more smoothly and efficiently. This can include digitising paperwork, improving basic workflows, and setting up practical systems that save time for owners and teams.

Social media, digital marketing and selling online

Support businesses to build a clear online presence, use social media effectively, and set up simple digital marketing and e-commerce practices. The focus is on practical, realistic tactics that fit small budgets and busy operators

Business software and workflow tools

Work with owners to choose, set up and streamline software for finance, bookings, customer management and team collaboration. You will help reduce double handling and manual processes so tools actually make day-to-day work easier.

AI and emerging technologies

Guide businesses on where AI and newer digital tools can genuinely help with content, admin and customer engagement, without the hype. This includes practical advice, hands-on demonstrations and guardrails for safe, confident adoption.

Cybersecurity and data privacy

Help small businesses protect their devices, accounts and customer information with straightforward cybersecurity and privacy practices. You will focus on practical risk reduction steps that owners and teams can realistically implement and maintain.
