You’re invited to a special edition Female Founder’s event celebrating International Women‘s Day.
Touching on the UN Women’s theme “Count Her In: Accelerating gender equality through economic empowerment”, this event will be an Ask Me Anything format.
Featuring a panel of women with experience in a variety of resources and support options for Female Founders, your questions will be in good hands!
Meet the Panel
Ms Kareena Arthy is the Deputy Director-General responsible for Economic Development in the ACT Government Directorate of Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development. Joining in 2017, Ms Arthy is responsible for industry development, investment attraction, higher education and skills, tourism and events, venues, arts and culture, and sport and recreation.
Michelle Jasper is a Māori woman with over 13 years’ experience working in business development, research commercialisation, intellectual property, and technology transfer. She drives activity relating to the intersection of innovation, commercialisation, ventures and technological development with traditional Indigenous knowledge and practice. Throughout Michelle’s career she has developed a passion for interdisciplinary collaboration, the on-ground application of technologies and IP commercialisation. She has led many large-scaled innovation projects.
Michelle is the Founding Director of Gandaywarra Innovation, an Australian National University initiative seeking to build and activate a pipeline of strong, long-term partnerships and capabilities, which will enable First Nations communities, academia, industry, government, and end-users to collaborate and innovate.
Sally Wagnon leads the Australian Government-funded Future Female Entrepreneurs Program which aims to inspire a generation of females by providing them with skills, mindsets and confidence they need to forge a path in entrepreneurship. The program delivers a series of events across Australia, including the Female Founder Festivals, AccelerateHER Workshops and the annual Kickstarter Challenge.
Her broad experience has been gained through working across diverse industries including consulting, education, transport and logistics, real estate and hospitality.

Parking is available at the City West Carpark, located on Allsop Street. There is also limited street parking around the building.
