Join us for lunch as we hear from a panel of guest speakers about how best to cut through the noise, make headlines and tell your story.

Meet the speakers:

Karyn Starmer is a Senior Journalist with Region Group, the fastest growing source of quality local news and conversation in the Capital region, publishers of a range of mastheads including Riotact. Karyn began her working life as a financial markets trader for an international bank but after leaving Sydney for the South Coast, she turned her attention to her local community and a masters degree in journalism. Karyn has worked freelance for print and digital publications, a producer for ABC Radio Canberra as well as a social media strategist for a range of businesses and not-for profits. Karyn currently manages Partner Content for Region, helping to coordinate and craft rich, engaging stories for their readers.

Kate Freeman is a Registered Nutritionist and the founder and CEO of Ayla Health and The Healthy Eating Hub. Kate has a Bachelor of Nutrition from the University of Canberra and a Masters in Nutrition from Deakin University and is passionate about showing people practical, easy ways to make good nutrition a regular part of their life. Kate was awarded 2022 Canberra Businesess Women of The Year and regularly engages with media to share her story.

Please arrive at 12.15pm for a 12.30pm start.

Lunch will be provided. This is an inclusive event where people from all walks of life are welcome. Please feel free to share with your team and support network.

What parking is available?

Parking is available at the City West Carpark, located on Allsop Street. There is also limited street parking around the building.

Where are you located?

Find us at Level 5, 1 Moore Street (City Community Health Building) on the corner of Alinga and Moore Street.
