We’re highlighting our business’ strongest asset: our wonderful team!
Here at the Canberra Innovation Network, we’re passionate about innovation and are here to help you make an impact and change the world. Our team is full of clever, connected and creative people and we’re excited to introduce you to our Marketing Director, Bryden Campbell.
Explain what you do at CBRIN.
I have the wonderful job of telling the inspiring stories of people and their passions.
Tell us about what you’re working on at the moment.
Right now, I am on mat leave looking after my two little cherubs. I’ll be back on deck in early December, just in time for the Christmas party and getting ready for a BIG 2022!
Who or what inspires you?
There isn’t a person that comes to mind; my inspo often comes from people and their stories. From those who have faced adversity and are now kicking goals to people who are so darn creative. It really is those casual conversations with the dream chasers that gets me motivated.
What’s your favourite book or podcast?
I don’t have a favourite podcast, but am currently listening to Cyber Hacker – they talk about how easy it is for you and / or your business to be hacked. Super insightful, but a bit scary!
What are you most passionate about?
I’m passionate about what I do; getting to know people, learning from them, and sharing their stories.
If you could dis-invent one thing, what would it be and why?
Polystyrene packaging – I want to be excited when I open a package, but then I end up feeling guilty for the environment.
Drink of choice?
OMG for all the locals out there, I’m sure you wouldn’t disagree! Nick O’Leary Riesling or the Four Winds Sparkling – they are my absolute go to’s!
What do you work towards in your free time?
Self-improvement. I want to be a better mother, partner, colleague, friend, and person.
What’s the coolest innovation you’ve read or heard about lately?
This is a fun novelty, but as a dog lover I recently read about a dog collar that uses voice recognition technology to listen to the sound of a dog’s barking and determine what emotions it is feeling ?.
What is something that never fails to make you smile?
My family – they’re a good bunch.
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
I’m watching a docuseries called Explained – they dive into different topics and issues. It’s short, sharp and easy to watch.
Tell us something interesting about yourself that we may not know.
I was chosen from the audience to be a part of David Copperfield’s illusion in Las Vegas! I felt famous for 5 minutes, and then he made me disappear…
If you were a crayon, what colour would you be?
Green – because it’s my favourite!
Thanks, Bryden! You can connect with her on LinkedIn or meet her at our office in Civic from December 2021.
