Are you a PhD candidate looking for support to explore new opportunities for impact outside the university?
Research to Impact Innovation Fellowship is a competitive program providing researchers who have just submitted their PhD thesis up to 6 months support to explore ways to have impact outside academia by applying their knowledge and skills.
Based at the Canberra Innovation Network, the Innovation Fellowship cohort will receive mentoring, entrepreneurial skill development and challenging external engagement goals.
Work from a dedicated desk space surrounded by peers in an innovative environment, participate in the Research to Impact workshop program and gain access to industry mentors and support.
“Through our work with researchers, we have found that people finishing their PhDs are concerned about the next steps. They want to continue using their skills and knowledge and they want their work to have meaningful impact,” says Irene Zhen, Canberra Innovation Network.
“The Research to Impact Innovation Fellowship helps in exploring the opportunities outside the lab, whether it be through industry partnerships or growing your own venture, in a way that is fully tailored to you and your goals.”
