Event information

The Billion Dollar Panel event series features successful entrepreneurs, founders, and innovators that have experienced the challenging journey of entrepreneurship firsthand. These extraordinary people pass on their wisdom in a fireside-style chat with a member of the Canberra Innovation Network community.

Meet the panel

Peter Mckie is a leading Canberra entrepreneur and investor. He is currently Head of Strategy and Innovation at iSimulate. He worked as an intensive care paramedic before establishing Parasol EMT in Canberra, a healthcare training company with offices throughout Australia. He was the Chairman of the ACT Australian Resuscitation Council for 20 years and regularly teaches on Advanced Life Support courses.

Hear about Peter’s experiences building two global leading companies in health training and simulation. He’ll talk about experiences ranging from building a scalable product, selling to hospitals to negotiating the sale of his company. Peter will share deep insights on the strategy of creating value from your innovation as well as openly discuss the practical aspects.
